I'm hoping there are some other Land Rover owners here who can give me honest advice because I feel like I'm in a tough spot right now. I have a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport that I bought second hand about a year ago and honestly I love the car, it's perfect for my family and handles really well on the road. But recently I've noticed that the car is starting to make a low humming noise from the front whenever I drive above 80 kilometers per hour, and it gets louder the faster I go. I'm worried it might be a wheel bearing or something with the differential, but I'm not sure. I called the Land Rover dealership to ask for an inspection and they quoted me 1100 dirhams just to look at it, and that doesn't even include any repairs. That's just way too much for me right now. I've called a few independent garages around Al Quoz and some of them said they can look at it, but when I asked if they have experience with Land Rovers specifically, a couple of them admitted they don't have the proper diagnostic tools for the brand. I know that proper Land Rover repair and maintenance in Dubai is important because these cars have complex systems that need specialist knowledge, but I also can't afford to pay dealer prices for everything. So my question to all of you is simple. Has anyone found a trustworthy independent garage in Dubai that knows Land Rovers well and charges reasonable prices for diagnostics and repairs? I don't mind paying a fair amount for good work, I just don't want to be overcharged or have someone guess their way through a repair. I live near Motor City but I'm willing to drive anywhere in Dubai for a good mechanic. Any recommendations from fellow Land Rover owners would be really appreciated because I need to get this noise sorted before it turns into something more expensive. Thanks so much in advance.
