Helldivers 2 Supply Pack Guide: How It Works and How to Use It
The B-1 Supply Pack is hands down one of the most powerful and versatile backpack stratagems in Helldivers 2. Think of it as carrying a mobile resupply unit right on your back. Whether you love dropping in solo and want to be completely self-sufficient, or you prefer being the ultimate team player who keeps the squad locked and loaded, this pack is a total game-changer.
Here is a practical breakdown of how the Supply Pack works, how to use it efficiently, and how to combine it with other gear to dominate the battlefield.
How the Supply Pack Works
When you call in the Supply Pack, it drops with four yellow boxes visible on the back. Each of these boxes acts exactly like a single brick from a standard map-dropped Resupply pod.
Grabbing a single box from the pack restores:
  • Ammo: Completely refills your reserve magazines for your primary and secondary weapons (the only exception is the grenade pistol, which gets two rounds).
  • Support Ammo: Restores half of the total reserve magazines for your equipped support weapon.
  • Stims: 2 Stims.
  • Grenades: 2 Grenades.
How to Use the Supply Pack
You can use the pack's charges to top off your own reserves or dish them out to your squadmates when things get loud.
1. Resupplying Yourself
To take a box from your own pack, you just need to hit the "Use Backpack Function" button:
  • PC (Default): Press the 5 key.
  • PlayStation (Default): Press Down on the D-Pad.
Pro-Tip: If you find yourself accidentally wasting supplies while scrambling to input stratagem codes, head over to your Controller Options menu. You can rebind this action to a double-tap so you don't waste precious stims or ammo by mistake.
2. Resupplying Teammates
To give a box to an ally, walk right up to them. When you get close enough, an on-screen interaction prompt will pop up:
  • PC (Default): Press E.
  • PlayStation (Default): Press Square (or X depending on your custom layout).
How to Refill the Supply Pack
The backpack won't recharge on its own over time, but keeping it topped off is incredibly straightforward:
  • Resupply Pods: Grabbing a single box from a standard called-in Resupply pod adds one charge back to your backpack.
  • The "Double Dip" Trick: This is where the value skyrockets. When you pick up a box from a Resupply pod while wearing an empty or partial pack, it completely refills your active character's inventory and adds a charge to your backpack at the same time. You are essentially getting double the value out of a single supply box.
  • Call in a New Pack: Don't forget that the stratagem has unlimited uses. Once the 480-second cooldown is up, you can simply call down a brand-new, fully stocked backpack and swap them out.
Top Strategy & Synergy Tips
  • The Infinite Stamina Build: Because you have access to up to 12+ stims right on your person, you can use them aggressively. If your stamina bar is completely empty and you need to keep moving, just pop a stim. It instantly refills your stamina bar, letting you sprint across massive distances without slowing down.
  • Pair with "Hungry" Support Weapons: The pack is an absolute dream when paired with high-ammo-consumption weapons that don’t require their own dedicated backpack. It makes the Grenade Launcher, Heavy Machine Gun (HMG), and Stalwart feel incredibly strong because you never have to worry about running dry.
  • The Medkit Armor Synergy: If you wear armor with the Medkit passive trait, your base stim capacity jumps to 6. Combined with a full supply pack, you are effectively walking around with 14 total stims. This combo makes you functionally unkillable, allowing you to tank heavy bug breaches or aggressive bot drops while keeping your team alive.
