Look for This Specific POI Marker to Find a Giant Stack of Credits in Helldivers 2
If you are trying to unlock the latest Premium Warbonds or snag a cool armor set from the Super Store without spending a single real-world cent, you already know the grind for Super Credits is real. But what if I told you that you might be sprinting right past a literal jackpot of credits during your missions?
Most players know they can find small piles of Super Credits scattered around the map, but a lot of Helldivers are missing a massive shortcut hidden right on their minimaps. If you want to maximize your hourly earnings, you need to start hunting one specific icon: the white diamond.
The Golden Rule of the Minimap
When you pull up your radar map mid-mission, look closely at the points of interest. That little white diamond marker is your best friend—it signifies an unlooted Minor Place of Interest (POI).
The beauty of this system is that it updates in real-time. The second you visit that POI and grab the samples, medals, or credits inside, the diamond icon on your map automatically turns into a generic gray pin. If you see a diamond, there is still loot on the ground. If you see a pin, it means the area has been completely cleared and you can move on.
Where the "Giant Stacks" Hide
Usually, picking up a stack of Super Credits nets you a modest 10 credits. It is a slow and steady climb. However, there is a very rare, random chance—roughly a 1% probability—for a single pile to trigger a massive 100 Super Credit jackpot.
If you want to find these giant stacks, you need to check the three main POI layouts where they spawn:
  • Two-Man Bunkers (Friendship Doors): These are sealed vault doors built right into stone walls. They feature two glowing buttons, and you will need to get a teammate to press the buttons simultaneously with you to open them. If you are playing solo, you can try tagging it or typing in chat, as these are hotbeds for great loot.
  • Buried Shipping Containers: Keep an eye out for metal structures partially buried in the dirt with bright red or blue doors. You cannot open these by hand. Instead, you need to blow them open using explosives. A standard frag grenade, a shot from a grenade pistol, or heavy support weapons will do the trick perfectly.
  • Crashed Escape Pods: These are small, smoking capsules half-buried in the terrain. They are incredibly easy to spot if you look for the blinking yellow beacon light rising into the air, or if you listen closely for a distinct, faint beeping sound.
Pro-Tips for Speed-Farming Credits
If you want to turn credit hunting into a highly efficient science, pack your gear and keep these four strategy tips in mind for your next drop:
1. Hover the Map
You don't actually have to stumble across a POI blindly to get it on your map. Open up your minimap and slowly sweep your cursor over open, unexplored areas. Even if the map is dark or the icon has not appeared yet, the text "Minor Place of Interest" will pop up on your HUD the exact moment your cursor passes over one. Mark it, run to it, and reap the rewards.
2. Spam Low Difficulties
Don't bother farming credits on Helldive difficulty. Drop your match settings down to Trivial (Difficulty 1) or Easy (Difficulty 2). Look for wide, flat desert or ice planets. Low-difficulty maps are significantly smaller, have higher visibility, and spawn practically zero heavy enemy swarms. This allows you to effortlessly sprint across the entire zone unchallenged.
3. Wear Scout Armor
Before stepping into the Hellpod, equip any body armor that features the Scout passive perk. This passive perk drastically boosts your radar effectiveness. Whenever you click on the map to place a waypoint, it sends out a radar pulse that highlights nearby enemy positions with red dots. Because small patrols and automated guards heavily cluster around POIs, tracking the red dots will directly lead you straight to the loot.
4. No Need to Extract
This is the ultimate time-saver that many players overlook. Super Credits, Medals, and Requisition Slips upload directly to your account the exact second your character picks them up off the dirt. You do not need to successfully board the extraction shuttle to keep them. Once you have scoured the map and cleared every single white diamond, you can simply open up your pause menu and select "Return to Ship Alone." You will keep every single credit you found, and you can instantly queue up another low-level map to repeat the process.
