PoE 2 0.4.0 The Last Of The Druids, New Careers And Updates
The long-awaited Druids class is about to launch. Although a full trailer hasn't been released yet, a brief glimpse of Shapeshifter gameplay has been shown. We've compiled all the known update information, so let's take a look!

Release Date

The Last of the Druids will launch on December 12th at 11:00 AM on PC and consoles. However, before that, the official trailer will be released on December 4th, showcasing the new gameplay and building anticipation for the update. In the coming days, we expect to see some short videos and in-game screenshots of the changes released by the official team. Stay tuned!

Druid Key Features

Druids possess both Strength and Intelligence attributes and specialize in shapeshifting spells and abilities, making them a brand-new hybrid class. Druids can transform into various creatures, switching between human and beast forms to adapt to different combat scenarios. The combination of melee combat and elemental magic is undoubtedly a major highlight attracting players; after all, transforming into werewolves or bears to fight is quite cool.

One of the most significant advantages of Druids is their ability to seamlessly switch between human and bear forms. They utilize the continuous effects of spells and ultimate abilities in human form to engage in close combat, and then transform into beasts to unleash powerful melee skills. Druids are adaptable to any situation—whether it's ranged suppression or melee domination, making them a very appealing class.

Endgame Content Remaster

In the interview, we learned that the 0.4.0 patch will focus more on the late-game content. They believe that the current late-game progression system and many existing seasonal mechanics need a stronger narrative foundation and better integration into the overall late-game structure. Therefore, the PoE 0.4.0 patch is expected to introduce more story-driven elements related to unlocking and advancing late-game content, and establish a more coherent narrative connection with the already familiar seasonal mechanics.

New Ascendancy Classes

While not officially confirmed yet, the Ascendancy classes originally planned for release in version 0.3.0 but not yet available are highly likely to be introduced in version 0.4.0. The most probable is Monk's third Ascendancy class, Martial Artist, given previous leaks of art assets and data files. It's highly probable, so remember to prepare some commonly used Ascendancy materials, or simply buy PoE currency to quickly prepare. Look forward to the new gameplay!

Abyss Balance Adjustments

The Abyss mechanic has been confirmed as a permanent part of the core game system. However, some features and items in version 0.3.0 may be relatively extreme for the core gameplay experience in their current state. Therefore, balance adjustments are highly likely, hopefully bringing a more balanced gaming experience.

In summary, version 0.4.0 will bring many new experiences, and we will report on more related updates in a timely manner, so please stay tuned.
